ABOUT
FENNIX ZOO

We want to keep wildlife and people safe. To do so, first we need to educate people on how we can help each other and ourselves - so we can live alongside all the amazing wildlife that live in our areas.

MISSION & HISTORY.

Founded in 1990 by a group of small, local organizations, Fennix Zoo began its fight to help save UK nature. Over time, we began to band with larger organizations - our first big break through was our work with the Born Free foundation.  We helped campaign against the mistreatment of animals in captivity, thus resulting in us being recognized as a sustainable, reliable and friendly organization!

We pride ourselves in the journey we took to get to where we are today, and our overall mission is to ensure that all of the UK's nature and animals are preserved and respected. Much like the Born Free foundation, WWF, and numerous other organizations we are currently working close with, we wish for animals to be treated fairly. However, this will be a hard journey with twists and turns, but when we reach the end it will be worth it.

We hope that by 2025, our work will have helped to recover lost ecosystems, restore natural beauty in rural areas, and improve wildlife populations nationally.

Our Aims.

Fennix Zoo aims to improve human-wildlife understanding through educational talks, research projects, partnerships and conservation efforts.

We’re working closely alongside a multitude of other teams that share our aims. Some include the WWF, Born Free Foundation, and The National Trust.
